Peternal V2: a place for pet memories
Peternal is a pet memorial project designed around a simple need: preserving and sharing memories of an animal companion in a respectful digital space.
Product direction
The service is being developed to support personal memorial pages rather than disposable posts. The experience centers on photos, tribute content and the owner's choice of how widely to share a memorial.
Key design questions
- How can someone create a memorial without navigating a complicated publishing tool?
- Which details should remain private, and how should public sharing work?
- How do photo galleries and messages remain usable on smaller screens?
- How can the platform keep storage and operating costs proportionate to an early-stage product?
Technical approach
The evolving application uses a modern web frontend with Cloudflare hosting and Supabase-backed data and authentication. Media storage, access permissions and moderation need deliberate treatment because memorials are personal content.
This is an evolving product; features and availability may change as it develops.
What this demonstrates
Content creation, account-based permissions, image-heavy responsive interfaces and the practical decisions involved in an emotionally sensitive consumer application.
