Startups Directory: structured startup discovery
A founder-first directory built to make startups easier to discover, beginning with Thailand and the wider Southeast Asian ecosystem.
The discovery problem
Information about emerging companies is spread across event pages, social networks and individual websites. A structured directory can give founders a persistent profile and make it easier for readers to explore the ecosystem by category.
Core workflows
- Startup submissions enter a review workflow rather than publishing without oversight.
- Founders can request ownership of existing startup profiles.
- Administrative tools support approvals, status changes and ongoing record maintenance.
- Public startup pages and category information are structured for discovery and sharing.
- Additional resources and related ecosystem information extend the directory beyond a simple name list.
Implementation approach
React, Vite and Tailwind power the interface; Supabase supports structured records, authentication and storage; Cloudflare hosts the public frontend and related edge functionality. The design separates public discovery from owner and administrator permissions.
Data quality and moderation matter as much as frontend presentation: inaccurate startup profiles undermine the purpose of a directory.
Relevant client applications
This approach applies to member directories, searchable business catalogs, submission portals, review workflows and role-based administration tools.
